Steps to make to make Khichdi Platter
- Wash yellow moong dal and rice. Soaked in water for half an hour. Drain the water.
- Take a pressure cooker. Heat the ghee on medium flame. Add cumin, asafoetida and cloves. When it cracked add soaked dal and rice. Saute for 1 minute on low flame. Now combine salt turmeric powder and water. Mix well and close the lid.
- On high flame apply a whistle and switch off the gas with three whistles on medium flame.
- Add roasted cumin powder and salt in curd.
- When cooker's pressure is released, open the lid. Add ghee and mix well.
- Take out the healthy, Nutritious & delicious KHICHDI in serving plate. Serve hot with curd, salad (cucumber,tomato green chilli)& roasted papad. Garnish with nimbu chutney and Pomegranate seeds. Enjoy!!
