- 2 Tablespoons black grams
- 2 tablespoons basmati rice
- 2 tablespoons chana dal
- 5 glasses water
- For making haleem mixture-
- 1 cup fried onions
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 bunch coriander leaves
- 1 bunch Mint Leaves
- For garnishing :
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1 cup chopped coriander and mint leaves
- 1 Lemon
- 2 Green chilies
Steps to make to make Hyderabadi Mutton Haleem
- In a frying pan add oil and fry chopped onions and cashews till golden brown. keep them aside
- In another pan add oil when it is hot add cinnamon cloves cardamom and cumin seeds. Saute them for a while.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
- Now add turmeric powder chopped tomatoes and saute till the tomatoes get tender.
- Add salt red chilli powder Garam Masala mutton curd chopped coriander and mint leaves.
- Add two glasses of water and pressure cook till 5 whistles.
- Allow it to cool. mash mutton along with the gravy
- For making dalia add the lentils and rice and saute till golden brown
- In another pan add crushed wheat sauted lentils and rice
- Add 5 glasses of water and cook till they get tender for 20 minutes.
- Allow it to cool and grind the mixture nicely. Keep this aside.
- To this dalia add mashed mutton chopped mint leaves coriander leaves half amount of fried onions salt and oil.
- Mix and blend them.
- Cook for about half an hour.
- Now take out haleem in a bowl and garnish with ghee fried onions chopped mint and coriander leaves fried cashews lemon and green chilies.
