- Once onions change colour add ginger garlic mint paste(homemade is best), and allow raw smell to go, once done add tomato puree and simmer gas
- In the mean time, in a bowl take curd and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, biryani masala and mix.
- Add the curd mixture to onion tomato mix and stir, after a minute or two add soya chunks and granules. Mix properly to coat soya chunks with masala.
- Keep it on sim for 5 minutes regularly stirring, now add 2.5 cups water and allow to boil.
- As soon as water boils add salt, mix and add rice.
- Once the rice is added, close the lid of cooker and cook till 2 whistles, and simmer the gas and cook again for 4 to 5 mins.
- Once the steam is released, open the pressure cooker and garnish biryani with chopped coriander leaves.
