- 1 tbsp tuvar dal
- 1 tsp mustard seeds

- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp green chilli chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp garlic-ginger paste
- For Kadi:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp garlic-ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp mustard seed
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp besan / gram flour
- 1 cup curd
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions to make to make Gujarat Kadi and khichadi
- For khichadi: Heat pressure cooker, add oil, mustard seeds, chopped onion, cook till, colour changes to translucent.
- Add soaked Dal and rice, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt, red chilli powder, haldi, garlic-ginger paste, mix well.
- Add 1 cup of water, cover with lid. Cook till 5 whistle. Cook on slow flame for 5 minutes. Open it, check the consistency or add water. Serve hot.
- For Kadi: In a bowl, add curd, besan, salt, haldi, 1/2 cup water.
- Mix with blender, take a ingredients of tadka.
- Heat oil, add mustard seed, cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste, sugar, curry leaves,hing.
- Add curd & besan mixture, boil for 5 minutes. Off the gas. Serve with khichadi.
